Adult Choir - Our Adult choir is open to everyone from high school on up. We assist in worship at our 11:00am Traditional Service. We also prepare major works for Christmas and Easter. Works are normally performed with the accompaniment of our 70 rank Aeolian Skinner Pipe Organ. In the past we have joined with three other churches to perform Franz Schubert's Mass in G, and Handel's Messiah. The Adult Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:30.
The New Harvest Praise Band - Our Praise Band assists in the 8:45am Contemporary Worship Service. The praise team also takes the lead in our summer contemporary music festival SonSounds.
Handbells - Our Handbell Choir plays on 5 octaves of Schulmerich Handbells. We perform several times per year. We are always looking for more handbell ringers! The choir is open to all, high school and above. The Handbell Choir rehearses at 6:15 on Thursday evenings. Also this past year, we have become the home of the Detroit Handbell Ensemble, a nationally recognized touring Handbell Choir.
Children's Music - Our children have several opportunities to make music. First off is our RSCM affiliated Children's Choir which meets on Wednesday Afternoons at 5:00. This choir is open to all in our church and community that are interested in singing, grades 1-5. Our Wednesday Evening FISH program, and our Sunday Morning Sunday School Hour are two more places where the children regularly make music. Also, the children present music regularly in worship and for our Christmas and Easter services and often perform a musical during the year.
Organs - The church is blessed to two fantastic organs, one in the Sanctuary and one in the Chapel. The Sanctuary Organ is Aeolian Skinner op.1427, built in 1964. This fantastic 70 rank organ is one of the finest in the region, and a great example of Aeolian Skinner's "Classic American" organ. Composing 3 manuals and pedalboard and 5 divisions, the organ is extremely versatile and makes the church a sought after concert venue. The Chapel organ is dedicated to our former music director Dr. Alexander Turco. This smaller organ is excellently suited to the smaller chapel. It is a two manual and pedalboard 24 rank organ, built by the D.F. Pilzecker Co.
