“Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow!” words we sing in every worship service following the Offering, express our appreciation to God in music. At this time of year, we are preparing for Thanksgiving, as “We Gather Together to Ask the Lord’s Blessing” (another popular hymn). Our community is coming together on Thanksgiving Eve at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church with an invitation to come sing with a pick up choir – something quite common before Covid; now it truly feels like a blessing!

Our very talented and devoted Sanctuary Choir is once again practicing with masks, separated by 6 feet, but together in spirit and love. We will sing for the 9:00 pm Candlelight Christmas Eve service, music from our last cantata, “The Mystery and the Majesty” of Christ’s return to earth. “Joy to the World!” has never felt so exciting as this Christmas, as we sing with joy filled gratitude of being together again!

Live Cantors are practicing faithfully to prepare for our Worship services. In an abundance of caution, we have one or two vaccinated singers each week. “Now Thank We All Our God” – “with heart and hands and VOICES.”

Jane Mykytenko has given her beautiful voice and talent to many grieving families, as funerals and memorial services are offered in our sanctuary and chapel. “Amazing Grace” with bagpipes and organ is a true testament of our family coming to God in an act of faith when we are most vulnerable. Thank you, Jane. And Thank you, Pastor Jim, for your tender care and excellent, hopeful leadership.

Sunday, December 12 will be a fun filled 30 minutes of skits and Christmas songs, fondly called “Noel @ Noon” Actually, it will begin immediately following worship and end with our delicious Cookie Walk in the narthex. “Sing We Now of Christmas, Noel sing we here”

The thrilling sound of bells fills our sanctuary because 8 musicians come together each week and practice their fingers to the bone, with lots of fun and laughter. Bells of Heaven will play in worship on Sunday, November 21 and Sunday, December 12. Thank you, Ringers, from all of us. “Ding Dong, Merrily On High, the bells are sweetly ringing.” Our Organ /Piano Meditations on selected Wednesdays at Noon continue during Advent, with hymns of the season and great cathedral organ music shared with our members, friends, and family. Please join our celebrations!

This week, in a Bushel Basket of Blessings, we will “Count Your Many Blessings, Name Them One by One, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done!”

God Bless Us, each and every one!
